CATARACTS SPLITS AND TAKE HOME ICE ADVANTAGE
The Grand falls-Windsor Cataracts when into game one in Clarenville with one goal in mind, to win, and that they did. The Cats played a will balanced game from their forwards, right back to their stellar goal tending of Doug Jewer. The Cats were in a tight match early on but Jewer kept them in the game as the offense took over and finished the Caribous off with a 5-1 win.
Sunday afternoon the cats started off the way they ended the game Saturday night taking a early 2-0 lead into the second period. The Caribous came out early with one of their own to cut the lead in half. The turning point in the game came when the Cataracts Jason Hedges missed on a penalty shot, and the Caribous clawed themselves into 3-2 lead, Which is how the game ended.
Games 3-4 are scheduled for this coming Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm
